Late Summer/Early Fall Formal Wear Trends…

From August through November in New England there tends to be a spike in weddings and formal events in this area. If you read my blog last winter on the store Lady Black tie which is based in Andover, Massachusetts, but also has a thriving online business, then you know they are one of my favorite dress stores to shop in.

I recently had a visit there and fell in love with the entire dress collection, but I narrowed this article down to what I think would be perfect for late summer and early fall. Let’s start with the late summer dress styles. I am obsessed with these two lace dress styles. One is in powder blue and one is in baby pink. The length was perfect…even for my petite frame.

Next up was a classic black dress that can be worn year round. I love the one-shoulder style!

Another classic dress: red satin…who doesn’t love a lady in red right? This one can also transition to your holiday events easily.

For my two fall favorites…. I loved this steel blue, lace dress with a very ornate lace-up back. I also liked the fact that it has a little bit of a sleeve for cooler fall nights. The cut out stomach area is on trend and …..well….it’s hot ladies!

My absolute fall fave….and maybe my fave over all is this mustard, lace dress. This color is here to stay for Fall 2019. I love the adjustable straps, as well as the trumpet style bottom. Again, amazing that it is the perfect length for a variety of heights.
