One recent collaboration I had was at Glo Salon in Wakefield, Mass. Glo is mainly known for its tanning and spray tans, however they now offer 20 minute LED teeth whitening services. When asked to try this….I said why not!!!

When I arrived the owner, Jillian, was super friendly and nice. She thoroughly explained the entire process to me. Basically, the entire process takes only 20 minutes from start to finish and can whiten your teeth up to 8 shades. I was handed a swab with vitamin e oil on it to rub over my gums in order to prevent sensitivity. I then put a pre-filled tray containing a hydrogen peroxide solution inside my mouth. The tray covers all of your teeth….top and bottom. A timer was set for 20 minutes, but Jillian explained to me that I could always pause it if I needed to take a break. Then an LED lamp that emitted blue light to my mouth area was turned on. This was to activate the solution and accelerate the whitening process. Here I am…..

 

I admit that I was slightly nervous and apprehensive to do this because I have sensitive teeth  (yes I brush with sensodyne toothpaste…lol ) and I was told by a few people that this would be painful for me. Well, I am pleased to report that I had NO sensitivity…did not need a break at all….the 20 minutes flew by….and I was able to eat hot soup for dinner and feel no difference.

Here are my results….now my teeth were pretty white to begin with, but you can definitely see that they are whiter and brighter at least by 1-2 shades and it lasts about 3 months!!!!
