Everywhere you look these days, women are showing off their shoulders. As you know, I love showing “a little” skin, and the shoulder is definitely an easy way to do this. Most women like the tops of their shoulders, regardless of how they feel about their stomach, hips, and legs. I honestly can not recall any woman saying, “Wow! I hate my shoulders.” This style trend flatters a wide range of body types, which is a nice contrast to the crop top or skinny jeans phases. It also works in all seasons, as one can find off the shoulder tops in long or short sleeves, maxi dresses, mini dresses, etc. I personally think the most flattering way to wear this trend is in a flowy top style. Works on every height and weight.

Since the revival of the jumpsuit has resurfaced over the past few years, obviously the off the shoulder trend and the jumpsuit trend have combined. I am a disco girl at heart, so I am in love with this look for spring! These jumpsuits come in petite sizes in stores such as Macy’s, so even shorter girls, like myself, can rock this look.

 

 

For Spring and Summer, I love the rompers and dresses that have an off the shoulder look. They are easy and lightweight and give off a little sex appeal too.

I was tempted to order the black one, but I love greens and blue for summer!

I think one reason why this trend is here to stay is that it fits into a woman’s wardrobe regardless of her preferred style. There are Bohemian tops and dresses, chic jumpsuits, and fun floral rompers that all come in off the shoulder styles. The only drawback can be a bra for underneath. If you invest in one nude colored, strapless bra that you love, then it will work with any off the shoulder top or dress. If you are on the small chested side, like myself, Amazon sells gel cups that stick right on, are comfortable, and reusable that work with both off the shoulder and backless tops.
