I know it is hard to get motivation most days to get out of our pajamas, let alone do any type of beauty routine. It is a stressful, upsetting time for humans around the world. However, it will end eventually and life will go on….god willing. Therefore, it is important to take care of ourselves the best we can as this pandemic is transforming our lives. Beauty products are part of my daily routine, just like getting dressed is. I am obviously not doing a full on smokey eye and red lips these days, but I am still using my favorite products. It makes me feel “spruced up”, which makes me feel better about myself. Here are my daily “non negotiables.”

 

1. Full and Soft Mascara: I hate how I look without mascara. This is the one product I put on everywhere…..yes…even the beach or spin class. This mascara gives a natural look and makes you look awake…and it is less than $10!

 

2, Tinted Moisturizer: I love this brand! It has an SPF in it, which is important since I am getting outside to get fresh air more often than usual. I like the Tan shade because it gives some color to your face. It is lightweight and can double as a concealer. This is also very inexpensive. Sometimes, I buy a brand new three pack on ebay for $15!!

 

3. Eye Cream and Serum: This brand is by far the best!!!!!! My mom has had me use eye cream since I was 12 and all of the skin professionals I have ever consulted with have said it has made a huge difference in my fine lines and wrinkles. I have to say this eye cream also lasts a LONG time. I put it on almost every night and I have had my container for about 6 months now so it is worth it for sure. The serum is multifunctional and works on the face, the neck, the chest and it builds up hyaluronic acid levels which is nexessary to prevent anti-aging. 4. Mac Antique Shadow: I have been using this as my ‘go to’ eye shadow for over a decade. It is very natural and looks great with all eye colors. Like mascara, it makes you look awake without looking overdone.

 

5. Kristina Makris Lip Gloss: Not only is this super hydrating and conditioning which I definitely require as I am outside in the elements more frequently, but it also adds a light, neutral color to your lips….and it looks amazing worn with a smokey eye which we will all be sporting in the near future hopefully!!!
